Frequently asked questions.
What can I expect the day of the ceremony?
The day of the ceremony, you can expect to be guided through the unique architecture of your energetic framework, offering both transformational insights and constructively-difficult challenges to your mental frameworks. You’re invited to set an intention for the ceremony ahead of time, which you’ll write down and bring with you the day of your session, and this will help guide the focus of your work.
What time should I arrive, and how long will it last?
Always defer to the details outlined between you and the practitioner, but most ceremonies begin between 10-11am EST. Please arrive on time, and we kindly ask that you don’t arrive late or early so as to honor the participants and their space. Generally ceremonies last 7-10hrs. If you haven’t pre-arranged to stay the night onsite, please keep in mind you won’t be in a state to operate a vehicle at the end of the day and should plan to leverage a service like Uber accordingly.
Should I eat before a ceremony?
To support your body’s energy, since it will be a long day, we generally recommended eating a light breakfast 1-2hrs before arrival. Ceremony day is not the day to experiment with new restaurants or food- eat a small meal you’re accustomed to (granola, oatmeal, a protein bar etc). There is a Whole Foods within walking distance of our NY location, and local recommendations can be made if you’re traveling to our retreat center in Maine.
What should I wear?
Dress is very informal and should be centered around what makes you feel comfortable. Tshirts, leggings, sweatpants, and similar lounge wear is all perfectly fine. For perspective, most clients spend the bulk of the ceremony laying down. However, this day is about you, and we support whatever expression that authentically takes!
